Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The thing is i dont think we'd be to bad if we'd gone all out as priority on the fullbacks. Look we've fallen off a cliff a bit in the last few years. We're not in Europe so we're hardly in for cafu level right backs. But to do so little business in this crucial area is a major fail. I honestly dont think theres another club in this league that would start a season without an orthodox fullback for selection on both sides of the pitch.
If that happens , it would be a massive indictment of our recruitment team , and a complete failure of a transfer window. We all know that injuries can't be avoided , and perhaps the situation at LB is understandable. However , not to address RW and RB would be simply unforgiveable.
It begs the question , what were Branthwaite and Grealish told about our plans to get them to extend the contract / sign in the first place , respectively.
Being a cup half full type of person , I still believe that the issues will get addressed.

Rumours went around that he wanted to leave and others said he wanted to stay. I would presume Kinnear had a big influence during his interview process. Moyes probably also had some input on this too. I personally think it is a big ask for a whole new team to come in get the players we want over the line with really no prior experience here last season. I think a DOF and manager is enough. They will differ but when you have 4? on a committee it will be near impossible to agree quickly.
If I recall some of the new team haven't even started yet?

Instead of spending their every waking minute on this forum, people might wanna sign up for an improv class and learn how to make jokes that haven't been uttered a billion times already on here....

The very fabric of this thread is repetition, if 3000 of the 3467 pages isn't made up of the following then we've fallen short of standards;

- Cheers Al
- Post of Gana at Finch Farm having pictures done (whether the player is white or black)
- A urine soaked bedsheets jibe
- Random outbreak of Cat gifs
- Someone offering to fight someone

The new introduction to the thread, because we're not complete dinosaurs, is the introduction of conversations with AI for comedy purposes and new AI generated images.

Getting close to 3500 pages. Time for a recap. We used to be crap... Kenwright's fault...then Moshiri's fault. We have shiny new owners- another crappy transfer window ( we still dont have a RB, RW or a left footed left back that can play) and if anyone has watched the whole preseason and Leeds and tell me they see positive signs, then please share. ARE WE CURSED? Can we bring in an exorcist instead of a set play coach? I just feel that every year we are getting further and further behind in this league...our comparables have gone from the top 6 to Villa and Spurs to Brentford and Bournmouth. I thought this summer would be DIFFERENT. Seems like all that has changed is the postcode and the cost of pint. And, before you slam me for being a " hysterical" pessimist, please prove me wrong with some factual evidence that as of today we will finish higher than last year...and as for talk of " Europe"...maybe next preseason tour will be to Albania with a stop in Rome for a game...but hey, please prove me wrong EVERTON:)
