2025/26 David Moyes

Despite how bad things currently are, I still think he is the right man to lead us forward through these turbulent times Dave. We are a mess. I have no doubt that if things are still terrible in a few weeks after a few games, they will pull the plug anyway. They have a history of not waiting very long. Fingers crossed things pick up very quickly though. I hate being crap.

I’m not so sure tbh, if there’s one thing the Texans will recognise, it’s the hierarchy of responsibility, and Kinnear is at the top of that.
IMO Moyes moaning in preseason, and his comparative success after his appointment, will buy him more time than Kinnear.
That said Kinnear clearly isn’t daft and has appointed a load of his chums, no doubt to protect his position.
Will probably come down to who has Marc Watts ear.
Depends on whether TFG have some sort of transfer window review during Sept. A few things that might go against him are that we seemingly wasted time chasing unrealistic targets and that he admits to thinking that 'Being Everton and having a fancy new stadium' would be enough to convince players to put pen to paper. Sorry but that shows someone a little out of touch imo. The same applies to the other two though and both seem massively out of their depth working on a rebuild like this, Hammond in particular seems to have a mixed rep.

Not sure that will be the case for anyone with these mate. No matter what we think about them currently they are nothing like Moshiri. They sacked 2 managers in 2 months 12 months ago. They will give him the tools (by the end of the window) and if it all goes pear shaped they will pull the trigger pretty quickly i think. I don't think anyone is invincible with these.

Nkunku would do far more for our labored right side than a 3rd expensive, left side player that is Grealish.

I've always spoken up for Moyes first stint. I was surprised how well his 2nd started.

I have two hopes now:

1. Moyes , in the past, built defensively sound teams that go the distance. Therefore hoping we finish the 2nd half of the season stronger as he moulds a system, and Europe and cup runs slows the top half

2. We urgently get a good, quick right sided player. Grealish for my money is a mistake, unless he can play there

Get shut of Moyes and then get Iraola in would suit me.

They doubled on him and he never lost the ball once. What did you expect him to in his first 20 mins with only Beto ahead of him.
Watch the game, he lost the ball a few times.

Out of position, not fit, in a left side where we have 2 good options.

Could've grabbed Nkunku and a RB and fixed our right side for less money and not overloading the left.

Hope he proves me wrong for everyone's benefit.

Very bad business this window.

Said the same pre window! I reckon he'll be in offing come Jan following this window, pre-season and Leeds game.

I want Moyes to succeed and his 1st spell and last Jan / Feb very good.

If Iraola isn't being talked about then it's because we're playing much better, which we need to.

This is a different club now then when Moyes was here and he won't get away with one of his slow starts to the season that he used to

2 'Factions' buying players??
2 different ideas about football?? and only 1 with real time knowledge??
🤔
Ignore that mate, think its just Zat tbh. I really don't think there are separate factions signing the players anymore, Moyes will have the final veto. I do think he may have been told to try and keep the age down ie sign a few youngsters if he wants his usual 'PL experience' types.
