I opened the Guardian football page up and just glanced at the stories on offer and thought to myself: "that's a great stadium, where's that?"...

...I still cant believe that's ours.

I can`t wait to visit it on a matchday. It looks fantastic. Lets hope that Sunday we can put on a performance in it. It will be really good to see a full house midweek against Mansfield as many folks that can`t get PL games have a great chance to experience it. A big attendance v Mansfield would really stand out this early in the competition.

Thanks mate took it into goodison a few times before but they seem a lot more strict BMD. I'd usually leave it in the office but working away externally the next day so have to take it with me.

I'm in the office in town on Wed and wfh the next day. It happened at the first test event and I couldn't get in with the backpack.

I was at an Everton for the stadium and they said there's some big names they can't mention yet.

Over the summer we have been working with the club regarding a flag display for our first ever competitive game at our new home vs Brighton on Sunday.

We both felt it was important to make it feel like ‘Home’ for the players and manger when they first walk out the tunnel from day one & give them a familiar kind of sight that they have become used to over the past few seasons.

In honour of this commemorative occasion, the club are providing flags on every home seat in the stadium. These flags will make up 3 tifo displays in the South, East and North stands of the ground and also flags in the West Stand. Both ourselves and the club are asking all fans to wave their flags at the start of the siren until after the players line up so the display is clear.

These flags are from the club as a keep sake/momento from the game and occasion which fans can take home. UP THE TOFFEES"

I've just been to Huyton today.

WTF is there a Portuguese flag flying outside what used to be the Oak Tree for?!

He did demonstrate how to use it. I mean, to take a picture of a QR code is really simple. Does that really need demonstrating? I thought the video was useful tbh

It was useful yes. But what Ilm saying is he should have had at the gate a code to scan to get through the gate. Then come back out again and do the phone tap that uses NFC.

Describing getting in on a code and demonstrating it are two different things (bar codes can sometime be a bit fiddly and you have to hit the spot or be slightly at distance from it to get it to turn the gate 'green').

Just a minor but important point that could speed up the process on matchdays.
