Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There’s no way Spurs get Dibling. Their fans are up in arms over the Eze debacle so will be fuming if a relatively unproven 19 year old is their alternative.

I’d never heard of them but their average attendance was over 30k last year (3rd highest in Japan and higher than 7 Premier League clubs), they’re owned by Toyota and have a 45k capacity stadium. They don’t appear to be complete minnows like.

If youre going to do a deal in Japan it should be with the clubs like those in Saitama, Yokohama, Osaka, Kashima or even Kobe.

A wildcard for me would be Tokyo.

Nagoya, not exactly wow level.

I will bow to your undoubted knowledge of all things concerning Japanese football

Or just ask any Japanese football fan.

Whats the score with Japanese footy then.

Is it good?

Who should we sign?

You're obviously to itching to tell us.

The floor is yours.

Japanese football is much the same as japanese baseball.

Unless you watch a game with passionate fans, its boring.

Myko and Aznou are injured. How difficult are you making this ? You're wrong just own it.

Christ. I said one is a kid. Its been a topic of conversation on here for years. One week before the season started our ONE experienced full back, left and right, got injured. We bought a kid with no experience at all as back up.
What part of we should have been in for ready to play fullbacks are you not getting. We are so short of fullbacks with any experience its ridiculous.

Think they go for Fofana/Kubo personally.

Think Romano has just lashed his name as a list of options and few more content journos have ran with it.

Spurs wading in for Dibling seems almost too obvious - a lot have joked it for about a month.

Wouldn't surprise me, but I'm not convinced it's the case at the moment.

In the way that Moyes likes to use young fullbacks in an attacking position like with Coleman. Could Anzou do a job on the right and at least be an option along with hopefully Dibbling?
No, he’s not even good enough to be our first choice left back in his natural position yet. He’ll be out on loan next month.

So in summary this morning:

- The club are trying to feel better about themselves that they may or may not have smoked out a mole.
- The transfer execution this morning remains unchanged.
- Our 1st home game is a matter of days away with injurys and and undercooked squad.
- Some of us have figured out the budget and PSR issues are holding us back
- concern we would have to sell our best players within 12 months to expand the transfer budget.

So in effect...nothing has changed.

Douglas Luiz is the biggest miss for me this summer. He’s not dreamed of playing for Notts Forest in the Europa league, so surely we could have put a more attractive financial package to him.

I wanted physical ball playing midfielders and quick, direct wingers in this window, and we’re getting neither.

On paper we’ve currently got the weakest squad in the league, with the exception of goalkeeper.
