Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Wide of the mark on Spurs - Archie Gray is 19, had one season at Spurs and has now played nearly as many games for Spurs as he ever did for Leeds

Odobert got injured for half the season and joined the club as a teenager knowing he would be coming in as a backup

Bergvall joined as an 18 year old straight from the Swedish league and got straight into the first team

Sarr and Udogie joined at 19/20 and are both now key first team players

Fair enough, but bigger club aren't chasing these players (at least so far) and I doubt Dibling wants the next club to be his destination.

And even when they do come in for Spurs players, the club is notoriously difficult to deal with. Palace (and Everton) much more comfortable selling onto a bigger club when the time comes.

I read the other day that Lukaku didn't want to come here..

I wonder where he thought he was going when he got on the bus
Same with Moise Kean.
We told them we played in Liverpool, and they both assumed we were the Kopites there to thrust them in to stardom.
Lukaku’s mum and her magical chicken bones only saw pound signs in his future.

The end of the transfer window is going to be like this isn't it...

A very rewarding and sensible approach.

Tremendous to see we’ve signed a football club before a RW

With the tie to the J-League team, all the Japanese players the women signed, it would be a major commercial boon (and on-pitch boon) if we could somehow sign Kubo.

They are an absolute nothing team in Japan.

A link up with Urawa Reds or FC Tokyo would have been interesting.

I didnt mention injured ya melt. I said unprepared. We had one fullback, left and right, with experience who got injured.
Try 1. Other is a kid who didnt look ready.
How head in sand buried are some Everton fans about this fullback situation. A centre half at right back and a player who's never played left back in his career having to fill in coz we fail to address it. And have for so long.
We needed ready to go fullbacks signed.
Your reply to me saying " 2 injured left backs".

Pretty conclusive you'd think, "ya melt" 🤣
