Totally idiotic if so, so reminds me of when we sold John Stones and paid £15m for Ashley Williams. Only Ake will be a fair bit dearer than Williams and is injury prone. This transfer window is beginning to terrify me.

I'll be interested to see what the fee is if this deal goes through.

Kinda funny that to highlight the effect offering European footy can have attracting players that you chose to use Milan though, who didn't actually qualify for any European tournament for this season.

Might not have been the greatest example but Milan are a pathway to the top. Joining Everton is a pathway to running your contract down for 5 years before disappearing into obscurity. Players like that don’t want to come here

Wide of the mark on Spurs - Archie Gray is 19, had one season at Spurs and has now played nearly as many games for Spurs as he ever did for Leeds

Odobert got injured for half the season and joined the club as a teenager knowing he would be coming in as a backup

Bergvall joined as an 18 year old straight from the Swedish league and got straight into the first team

Sarr and Udogie joined at 19/20 and are both now key first team players

All true but personally I don't see him as a guaranteed starter ( ahead of Kudus , Johnson and Kulesheski)
