Transfer Rumour Malick Fofana

Why the hell would we want another left winger anyway when we have gaping holes on the right.
He has played mostly on the left, but it is not given that will be the case throughout his career.

As he is two-footed he should be fine playing on either side.

Well except he has only played on the right wing 8 times in his career with no goals and no assists. It would be a mad move.

“Can do a job on the right, played there 4 times when he was 13”

“Modern wingers can do both.”

“Good cover for both wings.”

“It’s all about depth. We need at least 2 players for each position to challenge for the title. Except RB, LB, RW.”

Drives me mad. Need a RW, buy a player whose £££ value is based on him playing RW. Or if buying a LW because he is better than current left side options, that’s great, but sell one of them (or don’t bring them in on loan)

Good player, good age pacy, but our two best attacking players, play on the left.

Back to this one again. Scatter gun transfer window. Praying for something to stick.
It is not like we have many options.

Everton as of now aren't very attractive. Not very good and the style of play is a blast from the past.

Fofana is a player likely to be sold and he's been on the list of many clubs this summer. Most of them more attractive than Everton. They can offer more money, Champions League football and good possibilities to win trophies.

As on now, the 4 clubs interested in him seems to be Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Arsenal and Everton. He'll never commit to Everton if the other clubs ask him to stay put because they might come in for him. And Lyon won't sell him for a reasonable price to Everton when the big clubs have asked them to be informed about any bids.

For Everton to sign such a player, they need that other clubs decide to not get him. Either because they go for someone else, or that Everton make sure the fee is too high for them to see any value in getting him.

Lyon's asking price was €60-70 million a couple of months ago. It has since dropped and will continue to drop.

I am happy with Everton showing ambition and try to sign their top targets instead of settling with an overpriced 7th or 8th choice target from Championship.

It would be nice actually for once to talk about a RW who is actually right footed. For left footed players who can play on the RW, you need an overlapping rb. The games not complicated.

can you see a pattern mate ? I can't and I hope I'm wrong, we can only talk about the links we see, it is a forum after all people have differing opinions.
It's fair dos, discuss the links in the media as much as everyone wants. It's good sport. My point is that it's not a reflection on the clubs ongoing work that different players agents are trying to get as much money for their client as they can by constantly associating their players with different clubs and sending out garbage stories. I got the impression that 'scattergun approach'was leveled at those at Everton doing transfer business and in my view that's wrong. Every club is linked with tonnes of players that never turn to anything.

I hope Ake was one of those players the press base banded about mate.
