Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I'd be more concerned about Palace than Spurs. Palace have shown they can develop these talents and sell them on to top clubs (Olise, Eze), whereas Spurs have signed Gray and the lad from Burnley in the last year or two and both have faded into the background there.

Hopefully we've done enough groundwork at this stage that it won't matter though.
Wide of the mark on Spurs - Archie Gray is 19, had one season at Spurs and has now played nearly as many games for Spurs as he ever did for Leeds

Odobert got injured for half the season and joined the club as a teenager knowing he would be coming in as a backup

Bergvall joined as an 18 year old straight from the Swedish league and got straight into the first team

Sarr and Udogie joined at 19/20 and are both now key first team players

It won’t happen .
But I don’t think wages would be a problem for Richarlison , he is one of the few players who genuinely wants to be an Everton player , he’d be happy with a fair wage here.
Wages wouldn't, when he went t to spurs he stayed on roughly speaking his Everton wages of around 90k pw, only difference is the spurs one is loaded with added bonuses on certain targets etc - so better as long as he and the side performs

£4.72 mate.

Anyone got 7p they can lend me, completely unrelated to this post though...

Richarlison has one thing in mind. It is a World Cup year and he wants the number nine shirt. Not likely to move and will not go to a club that wants to play him wide.

Yes, he can play as a 9, but only for good teams that have possession, press high and want to dominate matches.

When plan A, B and C is to hoof the ball from Pickford towards an isolated striker, he won't be useful at all. It would only work in a 442 and I can't see Moyes playing that.

The two previous seasons he has been missing a ton of matches. According to Transfermarkt he was out 316 days in two seasons. For context, Calvert-Lewin missed 161 days the same period.
I love Richy, but selling him when we did and for what we got was one of the few transfers in recent times which we got absolutely spot on.

His last season with us he basically broke his body/long term fitness playing through injuries to keep us in the league.

i see Victor Boniface off to Ac Milan on loan with just a buy option of £30m so no obligation.

good striker and the fee is realistic at the end plus it’s only an option. The only thing i can think is he wants europe which we can’t offer.

so many teams getting good deals because they can offer europe this summer and because we can’t we either have to offer way more or they just aren’t interested to begin with.
Kinda funny that to highlight the effect offering European footy can have attracting players that you chose to use Milan though, who didn't actually qualify for any European tournament for this season.
