He's actually very energetic and will give us width and get us up the pitch better but knowing our fans and the way they react to mistake prone players I can see the fume already. Plus he's Villa's starting right back so won't be got easily anyway

I would be for a gamble on Aidan Morris if we were to go for a Middlesbrough player. Solid defensive midfielder, young and I don’t think would be that expensive. Hackney probably the more talented but I just want a 6.

If true it’s hard not to admire our pig headed focus on one player to keep dragging this one.
Moyes must have a real lob on for the lad.

Well it's either that or everybody in recruitment is dreadful at their jobs and let us play pre season on the big stage in America, our first game at the new ground and the start of the season with a team that has the balance of a pisshead walking out the pub at 2 in the morning.

For whatever it's worth.

I think that this summer we have been chasing a calibre of player who does not see Everton as a big step up in career progression.
We have been avoiding relegation for too long, do not have European football to offer and probably don't have enough high profile players or maybe a high enough profile manager to attract the quality of player we want.
Malick Fofana would be a good example, Kubo and Luiz also.

Of course, I would urge caution as it is clear there is minimal genuine information escaping from the club.

I will not judge the transfer window until it closes as I think it may only in the final days that clubs may agree to sell to us and players agree to join us because maybe there are no better options.

Not ideal but that is what I think.

I fully understand others will agree.

He was never all that. He's failed at Spurs. Rose-tinted glasses going on here. Better than what we have - not good enough for a truly ambitious club going places. But as we are not going anywhere, he'll be perfect.

Whilst i am as frustrated as everyone, we need to ensure we sign the right players. Just getting bodies in for the sake of it doesn't help.

Eveyone would moan if we signed the wrong players.

But we do need to get our collective fingers out of our.....
