Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

You don’t know it’s Moyes opinion either though. You are making assumptions based on a decision he has made with the starting line up in 1 game, where he maybe thought Beto had the better style of play for the opposition we were against (and where as I would expect, he started only 1 new signing that already has PL experience).

But it’s the same as saying Moyes rates Iroebugnam or Alcaraz higher than Grealish as both started ahead of him. But we also know how ludicrous that is.
Grealish will be because he has had no pre season, he’s been training on his own and didn’t go to CWC. If Moyes had started Beto against Roma and Leeds then fair enough, but for him to start our final pre season game and then have Beto (who is absolutely garbage)selected over him is worrying, especially as he was only give 8 mins as a sub, when we were awful.

It’s not worrying at all. And it’s entirely expected.

I’ve said all summer that barring 1, maybe 2, it would be pretty much the same team that ended last season.

That might be the reason for Grealish, but based off your very basic assumption that because Barry didn’t start, it means Moyes thinks Beto is better than him, then I’m applying your same very basic logic to Grealish.

There is a load of reasons why Beto started ahead of Barry.

Beto has shown he can score goals in this league.
Beto has an in game understanding of his teammates that Barry hasn’t built yet.
Beto is usually quite physical which is probably what was needed away at Leeds.
Barry needs time as a young player to get up to the speed and physicality of the league.
Barry had a long season with international football at the end of it and then had an extended break so isn’t as ready as others are.

None of which suggest Moyes doesn’t think Barry is good enough or that he thinks Beto is better.

That’s your choice. I can see who has had pre season minutes and who hasn’t.

Essentially you’re saying that Barry will be enough to get us through a decent (for us) season. No worries, let’s check back if it was Barry and/or Beto who inspired that decent season, IF it happens

We ain't getting Richy, I think Frank will want to keep him. Good squad player for a CL team.

This Dibbling stuff is getting dull now.

Only Everton can knock the fun out of what should be a really exciting transfer.

If he does eventually sign everyone's gonna be that jaded about it

If Wissa came in Richy has Solanke and him infront in the pecking order for number 9 position. He could well be open to a move away but I can’t see Levy doing us any sort of favour with a loan, he’d probably want every pound of the 60 mill back.
