I never thought I'd be bored of Everton signing a 50mil footballer but I am

Everton suck the fun out of absolutely everything. Can’t even make a signing without pushing the fan base to the point where it’s just met with complete apathy because they faffed around for so long with it.

….i don’t pretend to know if this lad is going to be a superstar worth a lot more than £50m. I don’t believe any poster knows how it’ll work out, lots of opinion but only time will tell whether it’s for Everton or another club.

Not overly bothered if it’s Dibling or somebody else, I just want us to buy players for the critical positions we need.

oh, so we could have signed him two weeks ago, with time to bed in before the season starts, but no, just wait another two weeks, and decide to sign him then anyway instead.

doesn't add up - unless it's just managing the PR to fans that we're trying, or we have been fobbed off by absolutely everyone else (which Southampton probably knew would happen anyway)

How much I agree with your frustrations but I think it is also a poker game / waiting game at times. If it means Southampton demands have gone down with some millions then yes unfortunately we have to wait

Dibling will be class for us - he arrives at Finch Farm for his medical in 5 days and I'm looking forward to it, fresh off the back of our winning inauguration at the new ground.

I have seen him live a few times and have mentioned it here before. He reminds me of Gareth Bale (not saying he will get to that level). I have not seen so many professionals rate a youngster so highly in some time. He would have been top of my list at the start of the transfer window.

Literally never heard of him until a £40m bid but I've been watching his u12 tournaments since, didn't look great at 11
