Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We have no decent full backs, we need someone to help Gana out centrally, we obviously need a right sided midfielder/winger but Monday absolutely hammered home, what I said a few weeks ago, we need a first choice striker. Beto is garbage and Barry, who has been here a month, also started in our final pre season game hasn’t shown enough to prove he’s better than Beto. If we don’t improve in the positions mentioned we’re in for another dull season, I don’t think it’ll be a season with the whiff of relegation like under Lampard, Benitez, Martinez and Dyche, but a dull season nonetheless in what should be a season we make some sort of mark as in 50 years historians will look back at our first season at our incredible new stadium.

Do you actually think that's realistic? Buying that many first team ready players on a limited budget?

To be honest I have absolutely no idea what our budget is and what effect the financial rules still have. Some who spend their time moaning on here will blame the ownership, that was easier 15 years ago as you could spend what you want, but us no getting the squad together now could be 1 of 2 things, owners who don’t want to spend or financial rules preventing us. I’d certainly need proof that it was one or the other, not just social media cryarses looking for someone to blame, rather than something.

Wish I had your optimism….

People also said we have too much for Leeds…. And then again that we wouldn’t get battered in the US
I was expecting a draw at Leeds to be fair ,I think the US public will still be traumatised after experiencing what they saw from us. However i think we will up our game agaist Brighton as we usually do. I'm going 2-1 us

No one knows the budget granted but judging by Moyes quotes right wing is the priority so I'd imagine that's where the majority of the finances will go. Then I imagine a loan or 2 on deadline day to plug some of the other gaps. Possibly a free agent too or a young prospect who'll be gradually introduced into the first team ala Aznou

Tottenham Hotspur are looking to include Richarlison in a potential deal to sign Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze.

That would, in turn, free up striker space to try and sign Yoane Wissa, who played under Thomas Frank at Brentford.

Wissa still wants to join Newcastle, who had a second bid of £35m plus £5m in add-ons rejected on Wednesday.

Frank is keen on signing Wissa, but can only do so if he loses a striker. Richarlison favours staying at Tottenham.

Alcaraz played on the right with obrien. Though him and Ndiaye did switch. Almost everytime tarkowski or keane passed to Garner he checked back onto his right. That was it. Killed straight away any thought of attack. Few times he did go with his left it went to a leeds player. So i cant agree mate that we should have still had enough. The left hand side was completely dead. Easy night for the leeds right back. Alcaraz on the right. Thats a subject all on its own. I think he needs to be central. What im finding with Alcaraz is comments that he's almost expected to do a bit of magic all the time. What i think of him is that at one stage in the game he will provide a match winning pass or goal. I adored his performance through the middle at Newcastle. They never had a clue how to pick him up. I dont see that when he's chucked wide.
yeah, I'm making the point that we could have gone with Grealish/Alcaraz/Ndiaye.
Grealish would have given Garner better cover.
Alcaraz is the most natural 10 we have.
Hindsight is 20/20 but maybe Grealish should have started and played 60 rather than coming on and playing 30.
I also think maybe Barry deserves a start with Beto coming off the bench.
I think Moyes got it wrong, of course we need new signings but given the fit players we had, he should have done much better.

I'd take Richarlison back in a heartbeat. Don't care how much abuse I get for saying it.

I’m pretty sure none of this is true.
