Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

New ground
New owners
But it feels like we are experiencing exactly the same lowering of expectations we used to endure annually under Kenwright.
With Moyes as manager it’s deja vu .
It’s like being an Everton supporter means you have to endure a ritualistic crushing of all hope at the start of every season,
It’s what makes Everton, Everton .
( expect we are now paying far more for the dubious pleasure)
It could never be a proper reset with Moyes in charge. It's hardly a blank page with the longest serving manager of Kenwright's reign at the helm.

Every year mate, ground hog day! We can't we just be normal. Only season we have been prepared for of late was the Carlo one

It's bad enough that we didn't strengthen at fullback. Whatever. If we do not address the RW position so Moyes can actually run the system he is trying to play and instead wasted money on positions that had players already in them, that is a MASSIVE failure. We always get it wrong. Get it right FFS

Brighton are quite good.
This, and infinitely better equipped than Leeds to exploit players having to play in makeshift positions.

If we have to go with the same starting XI [even if we bring Grealish in], Brighton will play triangles around Alcaraz and Tim, and double up on Garner at LB from the start. If he starts Grealish on the left, big old risk to play McNeil LB as he’ll have little to no protection in reality.

We need a bear pit reaction from the fans as well, time for blue donuts and selfies are over.

Moyes has to face the press end of the week. The preasure just goes up everyday and from everywhere till something changes.
Especially after saying in the interview at the end of the Leeds game that we should get some business done this week. Got to say tho he looked tired and cheesed off. I know he was knarked about the penno but it seemed more than that and you could see he definitely didn’t want to talk about transfers

Leeds were very wasteful. They had as much cutting edge as a teaspoon.
