And if Palace finish above us in the league and get all of that overpayment back. Not saying he's worth that by any straw but we sold Gordon for £40m plus £5m add ons which we've had. Not a great deal of difference in them fee's is there.

Also at the same age their is a clear difference.

Mate it’s £50m for a prospect !!!!!!

He played in the 2nd worst team in premier league history and not did not look far ahead of his teammates.

Okay let me ask you this, if he was a potential £100m + player why hasn’t a city or Chelsea or someone like that not come in for him ?

Not saying he is not talented he is but £50m talented ? Sorry I haven’t seen it in him yet so we’re spending £50m on a player we will have to develop ourselves.

I’m sorry I just don’t see value for money especially with a sell on clause

We need to fill 3 or 4 first team slots.

Dibling is an expensive luxury.
It stinks if the type of deal a Sky six club with the massive revenues would do e.g. one for the future. I’m personally not sure it’s the right type of deal for us to do when we really need players punching their weight and being productive over the next few seasons. Biuy for the future by all means but not at that price when that’s the sort of fee I’d expect for a more mature player

There's still the loan market to fill those spots, which will go right down to the wire due to the nature of the deals.

37M for Dibling is a risk but something I think most can get behind. 50M, I think you lose quite a bit of support (if that is truly the difference).

Last season he was 18. He's not good enough for City or Chelsea at the moment to spend 50 m to loan him out. He will improve us. As for the sell on clause that's only on profit ie if we sold him for 90 m they would get 10 m, and we might be able to by that clause for about 5 m in a season or 2

His not good enough to be valued for £50m at the moment and we would have to do the development work ourselves.

What’s annoying is that the recruitment team cannot find any decent wingers that we are looking at getting fleeced by Southampton for a prospect.

I wouldn’t mind if it was a £35m fee with a sell on clause but £50m ?

Nah

I think folks are so desperate for signings that thier judgement is getting clouded

They’re pulling a Gnonto on us lads.

Thinking back on it we were already in breach of PSR and simultaneously chasing him at the same time.

Running down the clock.
