They way his rolling he needs to tread carefully and get a grip !!!!

Moyes clearly doesn't fancy McNeil at all, for some reason. I'm surprised we haven't seen any rumours of him departing. I can't see us selling Beto, given our forward options but this is Everton so anything is possible.

That’s why I think they are dispensable. More so McNeil as I agree Moyes doesn’t seem to fancy him.

It’s also an area (left side) that we have several players in.

He’s got to be worth 25-30 million in this mental market? Beto 15-20?

Could potentially top our budget up from like 40 to 80-90 million. I think it’s worth exploring…

As I say, they are dispensable…

I agree.

As much as I think we generally don't suit a back 3 in about 70-80% of scenarios, with the benefit of hindsight we should've just done it on Monday night. Square pegs in square holes.

The team we fielded could've easily been closer to this and you wouldn't have had as many people questioning the logic behind it given the absentees: -

Pickford

O'Brien --- Keane --- Tarkowski

Garner
----------- Gana
KDH
Patterson
------------------------ Ndiaye
Grealish

Beto
That still would've then given us Barry (ST), Alcaraz (AM), McNeil (LWB), Iroegbunam & Armstrong (CM) as bench options.
.
Patterson injured
Dwight needs to start ahead of alcaraz
I’d put him on the left as he is excellent at tracking back, grealish centre and ndiaye on the right - I just don’t think grealish will help
Out who ever is our LB enough

Yes, that also works.

Wouldn't necessarily need Grealish to 'help' - Ndiaye & McNeil would drop in to support the back 3 whenever the oppo cross the halfway line. Both KDH & Grealish are then in the prime spots to help get on the ball/work into the transition without one of Garner or Gana needing to commit too far forward.

Could've worked in that first half, but alas..

Psr...how convenient...we have sold the womens team with goodisson park...there are ways, if there is a will...
How convenient. Except not really. It's more like the opposite of convenient. Extremely inconvenient is what it is.

None of us know how far selling the womens team went in terms of freeing up money for PSR, but the fact we did it at all suggests that was a problem we were/are still facing. There was definitely a will, and the sale of the women's team was the way. Evidently it didn't do enough for us to be comfortable though unfortunately.
