It's a nice idea, but I think the club would have an issue with a first team player being there on the Saturday, let alone the Sunday.
We play on Sunday, so turning up for 45 mins or so in the morning wouldn't be a stretch (imo)
Could have been ex players. Branthwaite was injured and wasn’t travelling, they could have had him show up for an hour to sign autographs and have a few photos. Once he’d finished, bring along Ferguson, he defo would have been up it. There was nothing for the ‘Grand Opening’ is the point I’m trying to make.
