Cant see why you blame the Friedkins. They have built the stadium. The are paying JG's no unsubstantial wages. I am sure there is more money there. They hand over to who they believe are the football people, Kinnear, Hammond and Moyes to spend that wisely. Looks to me they are full of ambition but the footballing people are not doing that very well

My worry is the footballing side cant get the players they want and panic buy at the deadline saddling us with more overpaid [Poor language removed]. Decks were kind of cleared this summer which should be a starting point to grow. Dont want it filled up with newer versions of Doucoure, Beto etc....

But they appointed those people. If those people are not doing well, that's on those who appointed them, ultimately.

And they didn't build the stadium. They contributed to its eventual completion, but let's not give these people credit for something they had nothing to do with - even if Angus Kinnear seemed to be suggesting he personally filled the dock in a recent "business" article...

The combo moshiri/usmanov was clearly willing to spend big before the ukraine war...I am still unsure on what is TFG plans...not investing in the squad is very difficult to understand. It seems that it's minimum investment possible, and try somehow to be competitive...

They bought a distressed club at a knockdown price.

Restructured the longterm debt.

Brand new stadium to improve commercial revenue. Quite possible they want to flip us ASAP to make a decent return.

Convinced they could do this right now and make a profit.

If not at the end of this season.

Unfortunately they will commercialise us until an inch of our lives (not saying this is an issue) before they sell which will take a couple more years.

Self sufficient well before our time will be the business plan, smallest capital outlay as possible.

I don’t know how their third club is doing , ( is it a lower league French club ?) but I’m not particularly impressed with how they are performing at either Everton or Roma.
Financially they are solid .
But the football side is the opposite.
They seem to be tinkering rather than planning.
They don’t appear to have found a formula that works for them. I don’t think they understand the game sufficiently.
Perhaps they should have shadowed a successful administration before they jumped into the world of soccer.

They’re a complete mess

One thing i will say in terms of the business Roma are doing compared to us.....I doubt its down to the owners and it's more a case of Roma are much more attractive club to players.

Exactly, and the demand that we still believe we are the club we once were. That means we can't go for players that a Brentford/Brighton can as we would object and the pressure they are put under from day one means they can't perform. We can't afford top players or like you say attract, so we get left with what is left. Which are over paid players that see Everton as the final destination, so no need to try too hard.

It's not easy.
