Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

We just need to make better efforts targeting players are actually achievable.

One of the most deluded ideas from the club and a lot on here is that having a new stadium will make highly rated players want to come. To put it bluntly, they won’t be arsed. They care about either winning things or money and we’re offering neither.

This is a place where careers have came to die for about a decade. People aren’t queuing up to join

I feel like this forum is a twilight zone warping of reality. The only people making stuff up are the people who’ve been banging the “it’ll be fine we’ll get all our top targets at the end of the window” brigade. They’re also the ones now insisting that the reason nothing is happening is because the leaks have stopped and actually stuff is happening, which has quite literally been made up.
Spot on! This latest obsession with "stopping the leak" is bizarre. Are people actually believing that the mighty Everton have informed all agents, teams across Europe, all media, all ITKS, that there will be ZERO information leaked to the public by anyone if you want to allow us to sign your players? Meanwhile the backpages are full of rumours of other teams conducting business as usual.

The more you see teams like Bournemouth and Forest swiftly move on to targets just makes us look more amateur.

Guaranteed once palace sell Eze they will be straight on to their targets and get it done swiftly.

Dithering davey and his merry committee. Sooner TFG realise the mess our dealings are the better.
They've already got El Khanouss lined up.

Ok... 30 years ago Chelsea - who were an up/down club suddenly started lashing money at players - Vialli, Zola, Lebouff, Gullit etc I thought at the time, why aren't we showing that ambition?

Of course, in 2003, they were broke and we all know what happened next.

But now Forest are doing the same, after one successful season when they got into Europe.

Now, some of these players don't want to come, we are just not attractive club to represent.

I really believed this summer was going to be a game changer and its anything but.

Everyone seems to be making acquisitions that seem sensible.

I am not saying our signings are bad but they are more risky than most.
Are you comparing a capital city club that was in the hands of that chancer ken bates and was then flogged to vladimir putin's pal and actual supervillain roman abramovich with the mess agent johnson left and was picked up by 'good times' Bill?

There's been some Pulitzer prize winning stuff coughed up today (@MikeH72 ) but this might take the biscuit.

The end of the transfer window is going to be like this isn't it...

Noise on twitter is that we dont have much money left to spend (supposedly source is bobble)...if that is the case, TFG is not going to last...we barely spend compare to what we should be spending to build the squad. They clearly want to make money from Everton, not spend money. Good luck to them, but we need different owners. Our current squad is up for a relegation fight especially if we have injuries to our few quality players we have.

not many i agreement but i would have gone left footer McNeil and got Garner back in the middle

….McNeil covered LB for part of a home game last season (maybe Palace?) and he was an absolute liability. It surprised me, but they were literally walking past him, it was as though he wasn’t on the-pitch.
