Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Maybe it's just me but I'm really nervous about us apparently going all in on Dibling, half a good season in a shocking side, still really young and yet some people see him as a Cole Palmer at Chelsea style signing... surely for the same cash being talked about we could get a couple of more experienced and proven players for more depth

Just a load of excuses frankly.
Agreed, this section below was the bit I couldn’t get my head around…

‘The market is clearly inflated. We are heading for a record amount of fees spent by the PL. It’s massively difficult to do deals in such an environment’.

Unbelievable - if it’s massively difficult to do deals why is the PL on track to spend a record amount in fees 😄

Because certain teams with unlimited money don’t care what the price tag says or what it does to the rest of the market, they just pay it

Listening to the podcast from Bobble.

Transfer Committee can not agree the way forward on targets and how to spend the money we have left. Also can not agree if they want youth or experience.

They both seem pretty positive normally but worry setting in.

The words "can not agree" keeps getting said

Strange that really as we've brought in players already and all of our targets for RW have been younger players.

Also wasnt it the bobble/benji who reported moyes wants dibling.

Personal opinion but i feel as though bobbles days as a ITK are pretty much numbered (if they aren't already).

It just feels like this summer he's not really broken any news with regards to everton and everything he tweers is alwasy 3-4 minutes after the original source tweets it. I wonder if the person he gets his info off might be keeping their head down, or maybe been legged already by the club.

Absolute click bait.

Framed differently, we are currently choosing not to allocate enough of the money we've got to give Brownhill what he wants. Or better still, Brownhill is asking for £150k a week + a sign on of £5m and we've told him to jog on because we don't value him that highly [and nor does anybody else at the moment hence he is without a Club].

Struggling to find the ££ suggests we have no money. If we believe the talking heads, we've had a c.£40m turned down for a 19-year-old only last week!

Hysteria breeds hysteria, and there are some people earning money off the back of it.
Sense at last

The hysteria levels are at new heights

It’s just a lazy excuse. Yes the sky six have spent a lot more, and I know we will get some p,Ayers in between now and the end of the season, it makes the market more competitive certainly, but it doesn’t make it as difficult for some clubs as we seem to be making it out.
