Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Mate, I’m not making up what has been reported.

We put in one offer for a free agent a month ago haven't bothered ever since to sign a right back.

Hardly the actions of a club who see that position as a priority.
Hang on we re-signed our injury prone captain. Jeez, some people are never satisfied.

You said:They’re just going to wait to see who becomes available on loan and panic on deadline day.

That sounds very made up to me

Just my opinion on what’s going to happen based on what’s gone on this summer.

Just like your opinion that everything will be fine and we’ll sign all the players needed.

Hope your version happens but they’re cutting it very fine.

Suggest mine is a far more realistic prediction unfortunately.

Well bits are more than likely going on behind the scenes that's being kept under wraps.

Lets put it this way... every man and his dog knows we're woefully short so the likelihood of nothing happening is pretty low.

Well that's how I perceive it any road.
Yeah i have no doubt that things are going on in the background but going by the way they have left us so woefully short with the season started, i am not very confident they will succeed in many of their endeavours even with 12 days remaining of the window. Here's hoping they come up with the goods as fast as possible.

The bubble of optimism (new start, new ground, new owners) has been well and truly burst.
Given that our squad weaknesses are long-standing, nobody expected us to start the season without key signings.

Same old story.

This has added to the frustration, in my opinion.

To paraphrase TS Eliot : “August is the cruellest month”

I never said all the players, just more players and it will improve the squad - you think we won’t, we will see I guess

Doesn’t seem as though Moyes is a fan of McNeil and if Monday night is anything to go by, can’t see him featuring much. Shame, as I really rate McNeil. But if that’s how it is, we should look to try and cash in. Surely the funds could help us get over the line on other deals.

Similarly, he clearly doesn’t rate Beto. Very odd that Alan Myers is saying the most important position for us is to bring in another striker. Feel like he is being briefed from those close to Moyes. If that’s the case, we need to cash in on Beto. Otherwise we will be under big pressure to sell a sizeable asset next summer.
