Sinner and Alcaraz will be the new Rafael / Federer, they need a third to complete the trifecta - Djok.

Problem is, these 2 are so far clear of men's tennis it's ridiculous.

Always Thought Zveverev would've been that third guy, but he's so inconsistent.

If anything, Zverev is too consistent - he doesn’t have another gear when he plays the big boys and doesn’t actually believe he can beat them

He has the physical tools but not the mental side

I watched some of it yesterday and I can see what they're going for, basically a sort of T20 for tennis filled with the best players/biggest names. It must be incredibly annoying for doubles specialists though who have just lost a slam tournament and potential prize money.

I genuinely can't remember the last time I watched a mixed doubles match though so I guess it sort of worked on me.

I learned this from my friend and have yet to go, but apparently college (uni) NCAA tennis is pretty crazy. People tailgate (drink/party before hand and during) and the whole time people are yelling and the coaches walk onto the court between points. Many matches are played simultaneously and a team needs some number of matches, and when the occurs, the rest of the matches simply stop (even if they are not complete). Weird scoring that I don't fully understand yet.

The US Open always is a bit noisier off court during matches - people running up and down the stairs to get drinks etc and lounging about chatting in the upper tiers, but this latest turn is about cash. Grand slams are supposed to be special.
