Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think it’s important that concerns are raised when similar patterns that have led to us circling the drain for many years emerge.

If any posters grind your gears to such an extent, you could always mute them.
It’s not raising concerns it’s out and out catastrophising. Today’s shouts already include the idea we have run out of money and fumes about no links despite the manager openly clamping down on leaks from the club.

In a Hollywood film they’d be slapped around the face and told to get a grip

The joys of the ignore / mute button! This has worked a treat for me in recent weeks!

Same people saying... let's go with what we've got..... stronger squad that ended last season... it's only July..... there are still x weeks left blah blah blah.

Don't add anything worthwhile and certainly cannot have a discussion about football!

Would recommend to anyone on here for a more comfortable forum experience!

Ok so TFG have hired incompetence.

Would you expect them to be moved on after this summer?
Not through incompetence, generally through trying too hard to go big, we needed to stick to signings that were more doable ala KDH, Aznou etc. The long running deal with Dibling the prime example. I don’t think anyone should be fired after 8 months given how many of Moshiri’s ‘team’ were allowed to survive his 8 year tenure

Good grief. It’s almost like I’m shouting into the abyss at this point.

One last try, I guess.

THERE IS NO NEWS BECAUSE A SENIOR MANAGER TOLD EVERYONE TO SHUT THE [Poor language removed] UP.

That is all.
I think the information that that appears on transfers mostly leaks from the selling club , or the players agent ,whose interests can be served by releasing the details .
Another source of information may be the player’s friends and family.
Reliable information appears less regularly from a buying club since it is not in their interest.
So the lack of any substantive rumours currently is slightly concerning.
Of course it could also mean we in the process of signing players for whom there is little competition or demand .

Guys, work on transfers is being done, we just aren’t hearing about it. To double down on my previous post, there is a clear causal link between a member of senior management publicly calling out employees leaking confidential information to the public, and a sudden dearth of information reaching us. To imagine that this is pure coincidence seems a stretch.

What is more likely? That Moyes calling out the leak has caused a decline in the amount of publicly available information, or that by pure coincidence at the exact time this happened the highly paid, business critical player recruitment team has decided to completely down tools and cease activity entirely? And for what reason would they ever do that? Spite? Ennui?

Work continues people, of course it does. Signings are coming. Wins are coming. I would respectfully suggest that we try to look forward to them.
I don’t think anyone is that daft to think work has stopped obviously. I think it’s more that generally people think we should be further along than we are in this window given what we had to achieve - we have reported targeted Tête, Kubo, Fofana and Dibling….none of those approaches have seemingly been successful.

Pre season was hardly successful and then we lose on Monday placing ourselves under a little pressure to get a result against Brighton, and we’ve all been here season in and season out at this club, when the last four seasons we have shown a remarkable resolve to go into seasons ill prepared only winning 3 out 21 PL matches in the month of August.

Posters are rightly fatigued by it all as it feels like groundhog day but with different people in charge.

Everyone is frustrated but some people are posting it non-stop. It’s weird, very weird
I think we all love our football club and whilst some do have certain agendas and post more than others we all want what’s best for Everton at the end of the day. At the moment it unfortunately looks like more of the same in terms of squad building/recruitment.

It's a forum, and people are entitled to share that they are not happy with the current transfer situation (or lack therof) and I don't think I have read anyone say that they are happy with the current progress.

But some people are going way over the top in their incessant need for validation of their misery. Post after post after post just repeating the same thing. We get it, they are not happy. Fine. But do they really need to remind us every 30 seconds?

If we end the window without sorting the 3 glaring issues we all knew about in May then that’s incompetence.

Secondly nobody wanted them to be there, unfortunately we don’t have a say on this.

Plus DBB and the like had the best protection shield going in Kenwright.

Absolutely! However, if it’s raining do you run around telling everyone it’s raining twenty times a day or, do you understand that they can also see it’s raining?
