Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Didn't stop Roma fans
Let's copy them then ! Did they change their management group though or just keep sacking managers ? Careful what you wish for cos turmoil and this club are familiar dancing partners. Stability is what we need. Not a revolving door of managers and/or board members.

They removed the CEO that the fans where furious about along with pretty much the entire management group actually and reset.

Thelwell was the target of much ire on this forum, rightly or wrongly. Now you're saying we should've retained him as we've had a mini stumble during our rebuild? Let's pause and breath and realise its still August and we've had worse summers and worse starts under worse lords and masters.

I always said we should retain him. I don't think I ever directed ire towards him.

I get why people are upset, but the perception that the people involved with recruitment at the Club aren’t doing anything is plain bonkers! We mightn’t be seeing the results of that effort as quickly as want it [Christ, do we need a RW and CM], but to suggest they are doing nothing is a mad shout, IMO.

We’re currently not in negotiations at all by all accounts. Maybe we should’ve entered into negotiations for a priority position player before the 1st August.
I think we'll get Dibling by the end of the window unless another club enters the equation and overpays for him. Again we're being smart and showing clubs we'll not bow to their demands if we don't think it's the best financial deal. I prefer that to our previous strategy of shelling out silly money for bang average players like Bolasie and Tosun for example. Again you make it sound like we've not tried to buy a right winger when we've clearly shown interest in a fair few. Guess what good players are harder to buy and you inevitably have competition for their signature. Following your logic we should of just brought in someone like Fellows as it would of made us look 'active' even if he's not as good as the harder to sign targets on our shortlist

Worth noting that with all the fuss over 'leaks' there could well be things going on behind the scenes atm that we're unaware of.

Benj tweeting earlier that he would even take a Fabrizio tweet right now suggests to me that him and bobble don't have a scooby whats going on atm.
