2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

I don't think he did himself any favours by falling over and giving their goal away like. I'm aware I'm in the minority here. I just don't see what most other seem to see.

No. He never. But he's showed enough in his time here to show he can play and control a ball. Doucoure couldnt run 5 feet with the ball without falling over.
Everyone connected with Everton had a crap night last night. Garner probably gets a pass for filling in at left back.

Think we should acknowledge that about 9 players had bad games. Think Charly was particularly poor, but he will be decent in a more cohesive team. I think he'll find his place as a rotational player, assuming we actually sign the players we need to.

He's not a winger, he should never have been put in that position, but recruitment has been so poor that there were few good options. I feel sorry for the lad, as you could see he was busting a gut, but he just didn't know what he was doing out there.

….he’s certainly a better no10 but he’s still an attacker and should be able to adapt to a wider role if that’s what his team needs and he’s less effective there.

I always think that when you’re in a different position, put yourself up against your opposite number for the first 20mins or so. He should have enough about him to do a job, he’s a talented footballer and he puts in a shift but was chasing shadows at times.

Still not seen enough to convince me hes the answer to any of our problems.
Don't get the fawning over him, been bang average so far, bar the odd glimpse of something.

Still very much a meh signing.
