Well done TFG. Started the new season with important positions not filled in the squad. I know there are a couple of weeks of the window left but that should have been about depth filling, not getting vital positions filled. Your new recruitment team need a good kick up the ass. Disappointing start to your first season of ownership.

It's almost impossible to know exactly what we are going to spend during the window though. Some targets like Dibling are priced way more than what we might think at the point of identifying them as summer targets. Some players that we really want and prepared to wait for, might want to see what other options they have first.

What I'm saying is to get Grealish in 1st of July may have cost us 1.5 million more in wages which has a material effect on our budget for PSR reasons, especially when we start multiplying for the amount of players we need. Perhaps we can afford all the players that we want (transfer fee wise included) but we have to wait as long as possible to cut down the amount of weeks we have to pay salaries during this FY.

Effectively we could be forced to wait to get the business done where there isn't the obvious value targets such as KDH.

I don't think it's asset stripping, I think it's price gouging. I also think they'll probably sell us at a massive profit in a few years unless they relegate us in the meantime. I'm pretty sure they're not the good guys.
