He took him off in the friendly last week, so its pretty obvious he picked up some sort of injury
….that would make sense given its unusual to sub the sub.
Regardless, Garner played well, he didn’t let anybody down.

This, Garner playing at left back wasent why we lost he did well.….that would make sense given its unusual to sub the sub.

Which is exactly why Moyes has a cheek to moaning about lack of signings. He said absolutely nothing when Kenwright was selling off our best players year-on-year to pay off the banks and Philip Green. Because he knew his position was infallible whilst Billy Liar was owner. Now that there's a proper structure who will hold a manager to account for bad results he's flipping out and blaming everything else.
Or play him in the U21s to build up fitness and experience. Wasn't in that squad either, so I suspect injured... already (welcome to Everton!!)But you have him on the bench over two keepers though. If he wasn't injured then something is going on there.
Not necessarily, he got far more minutes than expected seeing as he came off the bench early so could easily have just been a replacement to have a look at other options. Not like a Kean subbing was it?He took him off in the friendly last week, so its pretty obvious he picked up some sort of injury
Garner at LB didn’t really cost us in itself, he did well, but the absence of Garner in midfield definitely did. He’s not spectacular but his stock definitely rises when he’s not there. This, Garner playing at left back wasent why we lost he did well.
I also see everyone saying, they couldn't work out who was going to play left back, was it just me who thought it would be Garner
He already looked pretty laboured in that friendly before getting took off so probably already carrying somethingHe took him off in the friendly last week, so its pretty obvious he picked up some sort of injury
I thought the whole defensive unit was fine tbh. They had an awful lot to deal with especially the first half and that was due to us being totally overrun in midfield and conceding possession which made it a back’s against the wall performance. None of the defenders made glaring errors. This, Garner playing at left back wasent why we lost he did well.

Didn't really need the AI for this did we?According to Chat GPT
why did Adam Asnou not feature for Everton against Leeds?
ChatGPT said:
Adam Aznou was absent from Everton’s match against Leeds United due to an injury, and was therefore not included in the match-day squad. Everton’s official communication confirmed his unavailability, alongside other defensive absences, forced manager David Moyes to reorganize the backline, deploy James Garner at left-back, and adapt his selection accordingly.
