Why did we lose last night?

It was not because Leeds dominated the game and created way more chances than us.

It was because of Masters. He has conspired with Sky Sports, the whole media in fact. Got the Ref's and VAR to script it so he can help the promoted teams stay up!!!!

…..totally impotent. Not sure we created a worthwhile chance in 90mins which is very disappointing.

Couldn't even find feet. Long balls galore. I think I gave up in 2nd half when Gana shanked an easy ball to Garner out of plsy. Few expletives, did my best Zouma impression and kicked the imaginary cat, then went bed !

Terrible from everything Everton last night. Hopefully a one off. I know we won’t win every game but I want to watch a competitive team and a decent 90 mins.
League tables don’t start until after match three (old school), but, the transfer window should be shut now. We are playing a cobbled together team with replacements imcoming, makes the first few games rubbish.
That goes across the whole league, can’t stand any other team but I do have sympathy for Newcastle, Liverpool messing them about because they can’t buy a replacement and can’t play Isak.
I feel like tuning in after the window closes when we have two new full backs and #8, the league then knows who they have and my fantasy team won’t change.

Still fuming. Absolutely pathetic attempt against a promoted side. The first half was the worst I’ve seen us play in a very long time. We have needed a right side to our team for 2 years now and it still hasn’t been addressed. We’re completely of balanced. The players should be ashamed of themselves this morning.

everything played into Leeds hands. Monday night game at home, under the lights with the crowd bang up for it, their players bang up for it. They were clattering our players all over the pitch. We had a hodgepodge of a squad that's still missing key positions and they took full advantage (with a little help from another shocking refereeing display). That will be the easiest game they have all season.
As for us, it's another season we've gone into the first game under prepared. New owners, new board, new Stadium but same old Everton.

Worst performance in a long time (since Dyche anyway).

Tactics stunk. We could have played much more attacking. The players looked tired and unfit. A lot of this is on Moyes.

If we don't get the 3-4 players in that we desperately need were in for a loooong season. And if yesterday is to go by, I'll not be watching many more games this year!

After a few months of a great summer for a long time, shorts, flip flops, beaches and pub gardens. Then looking forward to a potentially change in fortune at our new stadium, Everton kick the hope out of you. Moyes's tactical decisions are once again baffling (Again) however, I don't think the most forward thinking manager would of got anything out of that lot last night. The pre season kinda told me were we are but 'its the hope that kills you' !!
The most striking thing to me is the players didn't look happy at all from the get go ??. Moyes and Irvine looked completely lost !!. Hopefully the defeat will be used as a springboard !!!
