every time VAR watch a replay and even they show it in sky. They should be forced to follow every slowed down replay with the actual full speed replay to add the context.

That was fast and took a deflection. At that speed it’s not possible to do anything else or even lean anymore

I agree, mate. VAR hurts the game especially when it comes to hand balls and offsides. If you need a laser for offsides, you’re doing it wrong. Should be clear and obvious like it was for a hundred years. Same with handballs. We’re looking to call fouls on Maradona swatting a sure goal away like a volleyball instead of bringing God into it. No way at all a ref saw Tarks tonight as if he was The Flash. If things even require VAR, that should tell you something.

Another great summer of listening to Darren Griffiths telling us that preseason really doesn't matter and surprise, surprise we look dreadful once again. You'd be optimistic to say there's quick fixes to be made.

What I got out of the game is how slow we are on the flanks. No service to Beto at all so we played backwards most of the time. Brighton will be even worse for us.

Another great summer of listening to Darren Griffiths telling us that preseason really doesn't matter and surprise, surprise we look dreadful once again. You'd be optimistic to say there's quick fixes to be made.

It totally matters in all sports. Usually for most teams, their starters are set and the preseason is a great laboratory for trying some things with young players and transfers. Experimenting. For us, that WAS our starting team. For most other clubs, it showed them who to loan and sell. It validated we were in trouble. Many clubs have a bench stronger than our starting team.

Here’s the absolute case in point. Who has been our starting RW for years? Our starter. Who we select as our best. That’s Jack Harrison. For Leeds, a promoted side, he comes in where he belongs around 70’. We needed him desperately. AND…AND…after sending him back?!?!?!? We haven’t replaced him. THAT’S where we are.

I’m seething with that result. Not a pen for a start. Ball was deflected, his hand was behind his back, and the ball was going safely to Pickford. On top of that it was a poor team selection by Moyes, and formation. Leeds are crap and we will be the only team that loses to them.

How many defensive midfielders did we want to play?

Obvious that wasn’t the game for Beto after 10 mins.

1st half we couldn’t string a pass together or get out our own half but all our ball carriers were up the pitch and Gueye just can’t pass the ball.

How we didn’t start McNeil is shocking. He has been our best player for years and didn’t get off the bench. I’d have played him wingback, he has done it before.

Probably wide of the mark but it felt like Moyes did this to force the hand to buy some newer players.

Grealish must be questioning why he came to us.

Fuming we’ve had to wait until Monday night to play and don’t any again until Sunday.

Can’t do it cause I’m an old fart but show it from the reverse angle and he couldn’t have pulled his arm further back without dislocating it.
Masters said the other week about the promoted teams not automatically going down. The penalty decision is directly linked.
Moyes should be all over this and not giving the usual crap and cow towing to the fa.
