2025/26 David Moyes

If we splurge nearly £50m on Dibbling and Moyes starts talking about him not being ready or needing more time before he starts games, I might cry.

We should be winning games like today with the squad we have and the team we could put out.

No problem easing in Grealish, Barry or Dibling in time.

Today a game appears to have been thrown to prove a point that the manager has to waste more money.

Agreed. And, frankly, why sign 19-year-olds if you're not going to have them in the matchday squad. Other clubs play superb teenagers. We sign them for a future that never arrives.
And not trusting another teenager in Harrison Armstrong. Armstrong is technically very good, always seems to have time on the ball, and rarely ever gives the ball away. That absolute sh!tshow of a midfield was crying out for someone to control the ball in the middle of the park, and progress it to the forward players. Why doesn’t he trust him? We all know the answer.

Selecting Garner in that role tonight would ordinarily warrant the manager being asked to explain the clear failure this was by the DOF / Sporting director therafter. Considering we have no such voice of counter opinion to Moyes, we are into tricky territory here.

I was at one of the matches in the states. We did not do our brand proud. We did not increase our recognition in any positive way whatsoever. We were the squad no one wanted to see and we played like it. Like not at all. I loved seeing us and it was great and I wore our gear with pride. But the crap we presented that I saw in July was only slightly, marginally, incrementally better tonight.

Sorry to hear that. Was at the arsenal game in Baltimore a few years ago, sadly familiar sentiment

Why ease players in? Go all out. Start Barry. Don’t waste him sitting on the bench. Should’ve started him on a promoted side. Start Grealish. He’s so much better than everyone on Leeds. Just go for it. Don’t slowly meter people in. Play like a boss and go for it like every game result wins you the league.
Moyes knows best. Barry was good enough to be playing against Barca and Madrid in La Liga last season, but Moyes doesn't think he could manage newly promoted Leeds.

We disgraced ourselves in America. Normally, that wouldn't bother me, but why travel that far to stink a place out when you can do it at home.

If you're going to these places because "the market is so important" - Angus Kinnear - then don't soil the brand.

See, yes! This. That’s the crap I’m worried about, too. I hate to say it but it all has that eerily all too familiar ‘not Premiere League ready’ vibe to it in a gravely voice and it concerns me.

Hope you got a refund and a free go in the ballot.

If the defeats stack up Moyes will point to the recruitment team not getting him the players he wants.

They will point to Moyes not using the players correctly

TFG will likely want a scape goat!

Did TFG ever really want moyes here long term? Feel like they were forced into the 2 year deal
