Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Correction: Moyes had players in Jan he rejected that Thelwell lined up.

Correction: Hes had since Jan to find the right, and not pipedream, targets.

Not confirmed on number 1 - unless you can name the players.

Agree on number 2. I was being more sympathetic to them not fully knowing who was going to leave the club. We can agree it's at least 3 months but could easily be 7 months. Either way, a dereliction of duty

Bobble / Joyce and maybe others named:

Fellows £8mil
Wesley £20mil (or below)

A right hand side.

I think we will be able to get one or two players in this week and I am basing that prediction off our patterns of activity during this window. After we lost to Bournemouth, Aznou came in. Then Dewsbury-Hall came in after drawing with Man Utd and finishing bottom of the Premier League Summer Series competition. Grealish soon followed shortly after the Roma defeat.

We are effectively being drip fed signings in the aftermath of unfavourable results. I expect this to continue until either the deadline, or when we have filled all the gaps in the squad.
Yeah, smacks of "competent professionals", that.

I don't think the business we have done has been awful but two injuries to two nailed on starters in our back four in the week before our first match is making it look very poor.

A midfielder who doesn't like using his left foot pulled into left back, no natural right back on the pitch, a centre back who should have left the club 3 or 4 seasons ago, no left footed players whatsoever in our back 4 or midfield 2, a player who should be on loan in the Championship starting at centre midfield and no natural right winger.

I'm sure (or at least hope) we'll address our issues in the market eventually but feels like a decent chance for 3 points in the opening game has been chucked out the window and positions that should have been priority are being left until after the season's started.
