2025/26 David Moyes

Never wanted him back, leopards don’t change thier spots, he will be gone next summer, he’s not capable of taking us to the next level
I was prepared to put up with mere competence, never mind the next level - and, to be fair, we had at least that since January. Tonight, however, was unacceptable. If this is going to be the way of it, we'll be in the market for a new manager in November. Heck, given the speed of our recruitment, they might finally find one next July.

Get in the bin. I think he did that crazy eye thing again pre-match when he was asked what sort of formation he was playing and he told them to wait and find out like everyone else.

To be honest I’m not sure he was convinced himself

He has. And we have had players through.

I don’t think we should start wetting the bed over one result. If we sign 2 players this week and 1 more before the window shuts and we have a decent season noones going to moan about tonight.

Leeds. First game back in big time. Under the lights. They’re always gonna be up for it
Tonight was a failure. Full stop. Unless you're one of Mosh's "expected defeat" types...

David old son.............you made a mess of that. Hold your hands up and admit it. Get it right sooner than later or TFG will bin you off....you have been warned. Bill is not here to protect you so step up
Indeed. Whining visibly with the officials post game for the cameras is a pathetic sight. On you rather than the Ref or VAR team this outcome.

Getting in behind the defenders. He is strong and fairly pacy. He also his all the grace of a lump hammer.

Expecting him to hold up the ball is ridiculous.

I'm not saying he is perfect, far from it. But when you have a limited player it may be an idea to stay away from his weaknesses and not just play the same system regardless.
He's got zero anticipation which negates any of this so called pace he has, watch tonight's game back especially 1st half where balls were played over the top and both Rodon and Struijk beat him in the sprint.
Why is it ridiculous to expect a strong player to hold up the ball, that's one of the best traits of a stronger player, being able to take the ball in and hold off defenders, he can't do it.
He's unpredictable and if through one on one with plenty of time he typically doesn't over complicate things - that's his only attributes.
Accelerates like Bowser 💩
First touch 💩
Aerial ability 💩
Link up play 💩
Zero positional awareness 💩
Likeable oaf 🙄

That was USUALLY how Moyes found his best team. When everyone was injured and he had no other choice he went for the players that everyone else said "why isn't he using these players??" and, shocker, wound up being the right ones in the right spots.

People saying Alcaraz reminds them of Cahill.

Imagine Cahill playing right wing.

Indeed. Whining visibly with the officials post game for the cameras is a pathetic sight. On you rather than the Ref or VAR team this outcome.

He's ALWAYS one for passing on blame.

Should he holding his hands up today.

Something we are slow to learn from.....fingers crossed football

Lot of tonight is at his door.

Team shape - awful. Should have been a 3 to cover up for the lack of left back and having to play Keane.

Personnel - picked the wrong ones in the wrong places, then didn't introduce key players at the right time.

Tactics - shoddy. No shape off the ball. Un-coordinated press, holes everywhere

He was incredibly let down by recruitment this summer

Just like every other manager we've had in recent years

Its so difficult to start well in this league with the absolutely abysmal pre seasons we have year on year. It just seems that for some unknown reason, the club has decided that August matches are not as important as other months.

The manager is about the only person I have complete confidence in. Everything else at the club still seems disorganised.
