2025/26 David Moyes

Barry has got the history already to suggest he is not a dud. We are so scared to just go for it with players.

I feel the club is treating him like Chermitti who has played about six senior games and was obviously one for the future (though why did we spend what little we had on someone not ready?)

Yeah completely agree. We've absolutely stunk the gaff out in pre season yet we persist in just doing the same thing again?

Absolutely mind numbing

It’s a complete mystery mate! The amount of people on here who still think Moyes has got nothing to do with recruitment is bizarre.

Moyes would walk if he had no say in recruitment.

His tactics and selection today was nothing short of a disgrace.

If it was found later that he'd thrown the game i'd not be shocked.

Kinnear and Hammond told Moyes they were running the window.

This debacle is on them mate

There is NO way they sign KDH.

There is also no logic in Moyes using him at 10.

Its looks clear that its a Moyes desperation signing, just like Grealish.

I don’t know Dave but that starting lineup was horrific and as soon as we saw it the majority of us were questioning it. Was he making a statement to the board in the lack of signings? I don’t know but it wasn’t right that’s for sure.
Not just lack of signings...but lack of signings HE wants in.

Something's got to give here.

There's no way he'll be here more than a season IMO.

He didn’t setup the team to try and win the game. I get it that he has no confidence in the players but he still has to do his best to win and tonight definitely wasn’t that.
Feel like he was at his stubborn best tonight. He’s clearly unhappy (understandably) with the lack of new signings, but the team selection and game plan felt like he was going out of his way to draw attention to it. Everyone who saw that starting 11 could see it wouldn’t work, he then refused to change it at half time. 3 at the back with Garner and McNeil as wingbacks would have been a lot more sensible.

Surprised he didn't go with back three considering missing out and out full backs. I know it's not his formation of choice but sometimes needs must. Garner did ok considering but JOB was under pressure all night. Anyway I imagine many of us won't be giving out about Myko for a while.
That was USUALLY how Moyes found his best team. When everyone was injured and he had no other choice he went for the players that everyone else said "why isn't he using these players??" and, shocker, wound up being the right ones in the right spots.

Get in the bin. I think he did that crazy eye thing again pre-match when he was asked what sort of formation he was playing and he told them to wait and find out like everyone else.
