Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

The people content, the mattys and the neilers of the forum just show me how little they know about football if they thought us going into the season with no right side was ok and to just be patient. This was always on the cards.

Beats me lad. I know we were Championship, but the way we’ve gone hell for leather this summer to ensure we can “stepped up” - been quite innovative trying to find talent across Europe etc. then I look at other clubs in this season who seem to have thought PL football was guaranteed and they don’t need to improve themselves (Wolves, Brentford, West Ham etc.). I worry there might be a few clubs who are starting to wake up to the fact we’re not Luton or Ipswich. And there’s a fight on.

I think it's very early days mate. They all said the same the last 2 years. Let's wait and see I suppose.

Lack of physicality in that midfield massively worrying. Haven’t replaced the good things Doucoure offered, iregbounam just isn’t good enough for this level - need an upgrade in there asap.
That and feel like all 3 tonight run round dont hold in midfield going after the ball. Need a player who can sit in that midfield protect the back 4 let the other two mids push on

There should be overreactions tonight because the team the manager had to select tonight was nowhere near good enough. If we want to improve this season we need to have standards.

I've had enough of knowing we aren't ready to compete when the seasons starts. If I can see it, and I haven't a clue about football, then why does the club insist on waiting to recruit late in pre season.

It's not an overreaction at all, we have been going towards this for most of the summer.

As I just put in the Moyes thread, we let 10 players go and brought in

Aznou - not ready
Barry - not ready
2 x reserve keepers
Grealish - not match fit to start

We’ve signed 1 player {KDH) who is ready to play.

It’s beyond incompetent and mismanagement.

Joke of a football club.

Kind of. KDH is an 8 who is ready to play.

Moyes has used him at Roma and today in the 10 position.

Alcaraz, our actual 10 on the wing.

Grealish who probably adds most as a 10 on the left

Why strengthen our strongest areas and leave the weak spots?

This isnt any recruitment team excuse this is on Moyes. Wasted so much money this window and not improved the 11.

We need some players in the next 72 hours to be registered in time for Sunday . Knowing the snail’s pace our recruitment “team “ move at ( unless it’s for a goalkeeper) I don’t see our first home game going very well .
