He’s not like DCL - he’ll not hold the ball up and win free kicks but if you play it to feet so he can run on he’ll do better than DCL and that’s how he scored a few last season. But…. we didn’t do that - at best we just lumped it up the pitch and he’ll never do much with that.

Really, really bad at everything except running in behind onto through balls and slotting.

It’s like he’s never ever had to play with his back to goal or play actual football before. Grealish tried a one two and must have been bemused how the ball went back towards our goal.

It's just what he is. He will pop up and score chances out of nothing, and be poor in other areas of the pitch. He's not a hold up player. It highlights where a quality number 10 should be filling the void between midfield and attack that he creates by pushing the centre halves back and then looking for a through ball. I hope we get Grealish, Ndaiye or Alcaraz into that spot soon.
