Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Disgrace to be in the position we were in with that lineup for the first game of the season.
In any professional environment, people have been sacked for less...the lack of accountability at this football club is different level...its never my fault, but somebody else.
Turning up in the us with that squad was bad enough...tonight was really bad.

One day, in the far distant future, when mankind has retreated to space colonies in the furthest reaches of the universe, Everton will start a season fully prepared. And, finally, will understand that 3 points in August count the same as 3 points in the other months of the season. Ridiculous.
We are never ready, players injured or not up to speed or still looking to buy, it's a shambles .

Look forward to further Dibbling rumours tomorrow. The. When we eventually sign him for what Southampton asked for all along, we’ll watch Moyes leave him on the bench and shove a left winger out there for game after game.

Some perspective needed that we started with only 25% of our back 4, no fullbacks, no right winger, a lad who should be 4th choice in centre mid. Was always gonna be a tough ask today, what's infuriating though is that we shoot ourselves in the foot when we were actually on top.
Which is also reflective of the terrible transfer window we’ve had. No right winger in the entire squad of a premier league team is a disgrace really. We’ve needed a new right back for about 5 years and still have a centre back playing there because he can ‘do a job.’

There should be overreactions tonight because the team the manager had to select tonight was nowhere near good enough. If we want to improve this season we need to have standards.

I've had enough of knowing we aren't ready to compete when the seasons starts. If I can see it, and I haven't a clue about football, then why does the club insist on waiting to recruit late in pre season.

What recruitment team???
Beats me lad. I know we were Championship, but the way we’ve gone hell for leather this summer to ensure we can “stepped up” - been quite innovative trying to find talent across Europe etc. then I look at other clubs in this season who seem to have thought PL football was guaranteed and they don’t need to improve themselves (Wolves, Brentford, West Ham etc.). I worry there might be a few clubs who are starting to wake up to the fact we’re not Luton or Ipswich. And there’s a fight on.
