That couldn't have gone much worse.

3 fullbacks at the club and none of them fit enough to play.
Forced to play Keane.
Starting 11 worse than what we ended last campaign with.
One of the most stupid pen decisions I've seen.
One of the worst ref performances in years.

Football's back and already I want to bin it.
Keane did OK, I'd have taken a draw today and would have gotten it but for a baffling referee decision.

Poor, very poor. Charlie was poorest of them all and his continuous slipping over eventually cost us.
Ironically, slightly better 2nd half but no complaints about the result, only the performance.
He was trash. Wrong position first half but didn't play at all well in it, second half when he switched later on did nothing at all, then a costly mistake leading up to the goal.

He'll be on the bench at the weekend.

Neither did they.
They penned us in for the whole first half, and aside from the first 25mins of the 2nd where we just stepped 20 yards up the pitch, they ended the stronger team.
They looked semi-cohesive in possession, we looked lost.

Terrible 1st half, better second. Beto should have been off at half time. Alcaraz slipped over the place all game, and it cost us.

Not moaning too much about the peno, but I don’t think anyone knows what handball is now.

Deflected at him, arm tucked in by his side, but commentators seemed to be saying it was cos he leaned towards the ball.

A Moyes masterclass there, from playing too many out of position to making substitutions far too late and no doubt a big post match whinge to top it all off. Although to be fair to him that decision was atrocious from Kavanagh/VAR and I don't understand how somebody who has a clear agenda against Everton is allowed to officiate our matches.
