Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Has anyone actually thought maybe Southampton just want a suitable replacement for Dibling before sorting the deal?

This is how normal clubs behave.

That little 10 minute cameo Saturday was them just applying some pressure, letting us think they're happy to reintegrate him.
He also appeared disinterested as well , very low energy didn't seem like he wanted to endanger a move

What does it say about the bookies? Other than that they believe we are less likely to beet Leeds than Leeds are to beat us and that they have taken more bets reflecting that. How can that not be a reflection on us?
Because it's evidence of the market being steered? it's common practice based on betting patterns to balance the books, is it not?

The odds are that close that there certainly appears to be a degree of shortening on Leeds' odds as it's encouraging more people to bet on 'newly promoted Leeds at Elland Road' winning their first game back in the Prem against a non-top 6 side. It's risk management by the bookies.

We literally haven't won a game in August in over 4 years, have had our usual dreadful pre-season, have lost our best player to injury and we have no right sided players. We will be playing a centre back and a left winger at right back and right wing tonight. Personally I think it will be a boring draw but I can totally see why people think we could lose this. That's without even mentioning Michael Keane, who when playing at Everton results in us averaging two goals conceded per match.
Feels most likely

I've been saying that for years. We should have went after him when Derby went down, could have EASILY gotten him for under 5m.
Yep there’s a player in there for sure, been made captain this season and would command a 15-20m fee but could be the right CM solution. We were linked earlier in the window but nowt since.

I think its increasingly looking like we will be taking a winger on loan. I think we still view CM and RW as a priority, but I just think it looks like we dont like the leftover RW options well enough to buy two of them. I think we purchase 1 before the window closes, and then try and loan a good outcast from one of the rich clubs, going back to the position next year.
