Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Buy backs need to be banned. The bigger teams hoover up youngsters, keep the best ones and allow the lesser ones to go with an option to take them back if they turn out any good.

Another thing, like PSR, that will keep them at the top

Exactly this.

It's not even buying them back if they think they can get in their teams, its buying them back if the price they could sell is more than the buy back.

We won our last 3 PL games in a row and we have a stronger squad when compared to last year.

Leeds have just signed …checks notes… DCL to challenge Patrick bamford who scored … checks notes … zero goals late year.

They’ve also signed Sean Longstaff in midfield.

If we’d made their signings everyone would be going mad.

And yet, *clear* favourites.
Piroe, Nmecha both got goals last year.

But I'm not sure why so seem to be of the belief that we'll lose tonight.

Leeds are clear favourites to win tonight.
Brighton are clear favourites to win on Sunday.
Why? - because we have a very weak right flank that offers nothing in attack, nothing in defence and has zero pace.

It’s a genuine shame that the club hasn’t fixed these well known issues in the transfer market.
It could be the difference between finishing 17th and 10th.
O Brien is a perfectly acceptable right back option. Good even.

We are allowed to play one of our other players on the right side of midfield too! Just because we don't have a traditional right mid doesn't mean we cant play Alcaraz or McNeil there for example.

It may cost us over the season but it's not an excuse for tonight at all.

After tonights win we really need to seal Dibling off.

The boy will be a star and actually be a player befitting the "elite players for an elite stadium"comment.

Lets get him in & then go after Fofana.

Seen a few rumours that apparently al hilal are looking at releasing mitrovic due to his wages and taking up a foreign player slot....

If this happened what would we think of a 1 or two year deal as a plan b?

Fits the experienced striker profile we supposedly want...

Boss! nice one for proving my point 👍

In no universe does Leeds at 13/10 to our 11/5 make them 'clear favourites' tonight. It's close, at the very least.. :coffee:
I'm not sure this is the flex you think it is. That the bookies think newly promoted Leeds are slight favourites against us isn't exactly an endorsement of where we are as a football club, is it?
