2025/26 David Moyes

And the bit about being an absolutely "massive" club.

Oh, and a word on our "world-class" stadium.

Yeah, all the buzz words! That said, the stadium is world-class imo. At least as a purpose built footy venue, Spurs' ground is incredible but it seems more of a generic "sports and events" venue.

We're a massive club too.

I'm just tired of the club propagandising without actually backing their words up. It's as if they have to SAY these things to remind us of what we are - because you sure as hell wouldn't know it from the last 35 years. Now, maybe the new owners will change that record, but until we have world-class players playing for this massive club in our world-class stadium - with a screeded roof - then even Goebbels would blush at some of the official media blather.

Except every single signing so far has spoken of Moyes being pivotal in them deciding to come here?

Discussing the role of manager David Moyes on his decision to join Everton, Dewsbury-Hall continued: "For me to leave my old club, it would have had to have been for something special, a project that I really believed in. After speaking to the manager and seeing the ambitions with the new stadium and everything, it felt like the right club, it felt like the right fit for me for the next step.

"[Moyes] said he's been admiring me for a while; he loves the way I play and just explained to me what he sees me doing in my role in this team. That's what you want to hear as a player.

"I have enormous respect for him, he's a legend of the game, so it'll be a pleasure to work under him."

You've had an absolute nightmare here.

He's got first hand experience of managing a club in a new stadium tbf, I think there will be teething issues.

If Moyes is the person supposedly making us throw close to 50 mil on Dibling then I understand your point, but other than that I personally don't think we've overpaid on any of our signings. The Grealish loan is expensive, but on the other hand, how else would Everton get a player of that quality?

He's here for the short-term, like. Get us back into the top half pushing for Europe, a younger coach comes in next summer or the summer after.

I dont think this will be a long stay, tbh.

We should be getting in a coach to match our ambitions. Play more expansive and winning football. I'm amazed Iraola didn't go elsewhere this summer.

Someone like him will do for us: highly motivated and makes average players get performances above their ability.

To me it's become very simple. I don't think he has long left managing a premier league club, he needs to win a trophy in the next 2-3 years. It's gotten ridiculous that we haven't won anything since 1995 so he can etch himself in our proud history if he wins something.

When Alex Ferguson left United, was your view that he left a title winning team for Moyes?

It wasnt mine. I thought he left an ageing squad with clear weaknesses which needed major investment and a rebuild.

Moyes was dealt a weak hand at United.

However, the same can also be said of what Moyes left at West Ham. Did he leave a european trophy winning side oozing with youth and quality?

Or did he leave a squad filled with dross and a few diamonds?

Fergusons departure sowed the seeds of Uniteds downward spiral.

Moyes departure sowed the seeds of WHU's demise.

He's a good coach. He's also not been the best in the transfer market for over a decade.

We need a good coach. We need someone else to be in control of transfers.

Sadly, Moyes wont accept that.
Well he mightn't last too long then, then we'll see how good all these new guys who are apparently set above? him (moyes) are at picking a replacement.

Iraola has one year left on his deal, honestly wouldn't be surprised if Pep walks away and Iraola goes to City.

Not at all.

Has Moyes been a miserable get all summer? Yes.

Has Moyes told the media we're a club that is plagued by leaks? Yes.

His demeanour has been that of an arrogant and petulant child.

If he'd won what Mourinho has I'd have no problem in Moyes acting like he has. But he hasn't. Far from it.
Heaven forbid he wants a professional setup!

Not really. Aznou asked about the stadium said "yeah, it's nice".
