Football fans and by the large the football media ecosystem is transactional even if you aren't charging for content, people want to rewarded for every action regardless of how mundane it is such as reading an article, because time is a commodity now. I sincerely think Al means well but there's a desperation to be involved and receive validation from the fans , he gets some info but obviously doesn't know a lot so what's you put yourself in front of the fame knowing info even though he doesn't tout it as such, he opens himself to scrutiny as other supporters starved for info will elevate him to a status he doesn't exist at

I think O'Brien should be backup at CB and RB instead've being our starting RB.

Don’t disagree but I think Moyes wants to keep him in the 11 and RB allows that. He is our best there currently and more than capable in the prem

Harrison is probably available at a far lower price , since saving pennies is paramount.

All I’m missing is a mini cult of weird boomers who don’t fully understand how the internet works, who think I’m in the know about the inner workings of Everton pestering me for information daily on social media, and I basically am him.

There’s no genuine shouts for him though is there. Will be interesting to see who the people are that will try and justify the signing if it does happen though.

Would have thought that mate, but his record on the right is almost as good as the left and he’s played there a fair bit…the rest I can’t comment on, he’s still very young surprisingly so.

I think that is where we have to use stats lightly sometimes. In the PL he's been poor overall on the right when you watch him and United fans hated him there. He was a fantastic player at Dortmund and one of the top young talents in the world but something has changed for him since he came to England. I wonder if it has something to do with people in the background as he had attitude problems at City too. Dortmund were able to manage it, perhaps because of the environment he was in compared to the environment he ends up finding himself in when he's in England.

It's a big no from me.

He was brilliant at right back at the weekend, he's really young and talented and if we improve, he wouldn't need to be a defence-only defender such as Mykolenko.

He was playing as an inverted FB in midfield in a high possession team. It really isn't the same and he isn't great at defending at all
As someone else said maybe RW, I'd happily take him if that was the plan but he would not do well at FB for us

My point was regarding you saying he provides content for free.

The website you refer to is a massive company, who pay freelancers for clicks they can bring.

Now he's freelance, I suspect you'll see him off the fence more and more, because the clicks need him to be.
