Angus Kinnear

But that’s not entirely true is it ?
When Moshiri first assumed ownership we bought players in before deadline day .
The problem was lack of strategic planning not slow acquisitions.
Currently , this window has seemed a little confused and very poorly planned . We have made some good signings, but that impression of lack of preparation is strong .
Easy to bring players in if you are prepared to pay top whack for bang average has beens!!
If folk can't see that this lot are trying to do things in the right way I don't know what to say.

The only right way is bringing in good players to get us up the table.

As it stands they haven’t done that in key positions.

I am not having “we tried”.

The whole recruitment drive has clearly not worked. Whoever was in charge of this has seen the team so unbalanced for the first game. Joke and a failure. They need to go. The Leeds bellends that is.

We have been fed more BS as per usual. Changes and monies available for new signings to take the club forward and again we are found wanting.
Not good enough.

Bloke is great with the fans engagement side of things.

Recruitment which is the big differentiator of success - not so much.

Poor. Slow and now we kick off in 24 hrs with an entire right side missing.

We’ll end up playing catch up with dropped points if we aren’t careful.

Course they've tried, they are trying to get the best deals for the right players and shouldn't change tack just to satisfy your and other fans impatience

Ok

To be honest al I can see is mostly , confusion , hesitation and disarray.
The structure seems a little ungainly , with no one to unite the moving parts below the CEO.

In the nicest possible way, that’s just drivel. We can’t know what they’re trying to do, there’s no point pretending we can. I get the theory behind what you’re saying but the truth is it’s just over the top positivity which is every bit as bad as over the top negativity. There is absolutely nowhere near enough evidence for us to say definitively (or even vaguely confidently) whether we’ve approached things the right way this summer. On the face of it I’d say it looks like we haven’t personally, but that may be unfair, we’ll see.

Angus Kinnear does not deserve credit for going after players who are not going to come to us. Identify what we need do the prep and if they don’t want to come then move on to Plan B or Plan C. My impression of this window is that we are going after players who don’t want to play for us and then we seem to move on to a different position. We need full backs, we have done for a while, we have got a young one for which I am happy but surely full backs aren’t that precious that we couldn’t have gotten a couple in. We need a winger, maybe a bit harder to get but surely we had a list of good young wingers and we just go through that list until we get one. I know it isn’t that simple but surely we should be doing better. Going into a new season with the deficiencies we have in a neglect of duty.
What is the logic in not literally asking the agent "hey, we're interested in one of your players. Would he be too?" I honestly don't understand this part. Yeah, it's quasi-tapping up but the biggest part is "would you be inrerested in joining Everton?". If the answer up front is "no" then what the hell are they on the list for?

It's only a strong impression for people who are incredibly naive about how transfers work.
