He doesn't look to me like what we need right now. I like his frame but I just dont think dropping 45m on a young kid with very limited experience is the right way for us to go atm

1st game of the season tomorrow and we basically dont have a proper right hand side. It would be laughable if it was any other club but its not funny at all as its our club and we are short once again when the season comes around.
Brothers gonna be in the home end at the away to Sunderland mate, initially worried in case something kicked off, no fears now as we will get tonked 😂.

Re/ Sunderland, the have Tai Hume, who'd walk into our starting team, they just went out and brought in a 31yo guy from PSG to back him up and provide depth RB at CB...

Meanwhile we announced a fat lard arsedd third keeper.

It has been off for over a week. It has just taken Southampton this long to work out that when we said we would not improve our last bid we meant it. They either reintegrate Dibling or climb down and do a classic undisclosed deal. They have chosen the former. We should already have a new bid in somewhere else but the trio of Kinnear, Hammond and Moyes does not appear to function smoothly or efficiently. We can only hope the impending September arrivals help improve the dynamic for future windows,

No idea what you’re talking about. Counter is easiest way to score goals and one of the best tactics to use in football if you have fast players.
UTD under fergie
Chelsea under mourinho
Leicester under ranieri
Liverpool under klopp
All played counter attacking football full of pace with great success.
Only city manage to do it the with slow pep football after spending a billion to build a squad capable of that. We can’t.
Utd under Ferguson averaged around 55% possession
Klopp Liverpool closer to 60%
Mourinho's Chelsea had a superb defence to back it up as well as elite forwards but again his possession stats were over 50% on average, and he usually sat back when winning
All three could counter but it wasn't their main tactic

Leicester yes, but it suited so many teams trying to be more controlling a la Pep at the time.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind Moyes tactics at all given the overall quality of the squad, but Leicester under Ranieri is the outlier and other factors helped them do it

Counter attacking when done properly and not kick and rush is lethal, Forest did it well last season and Leicester did too.

Not to mention Morocco did it expertly during the last work cup, but it only works if your team is defensively solid.

I do like the counterattacking teams when it’s done right

tbf to Moyes he had West Ham playing some nice counter attacking football for a while, think we'll grab a few unexpected results that way
but we won't be winning the league  yet

I don't think it's so much the new ground, just we've been pants in the last few seasons getting off to a good start. We've struggled in pre-season and I doubt confidence will be where it needs to be.

Like you say, let's hope we stuff Leeds and then beat Brighton and we'll have no such problems.
Our starts to the seasons have been poor since Moyes first time if not before.
