United always play well in the big occasions, and so they did even last season. What really matters is how they can play when facing the other teams in the league outside the top 6...arsenal was very poor today, and possibly one of the worst performance you'll see from them this season. Other than their solidity defending, they were atrocious going forward.

Absolutely, we were torrid going forward, I'm just hoping it's cobwebs and rust.

The most 'exciting' teams I watched were City and Forest in the first half. Lots of excellent players in the other matches but mind-numbing tedium with the style of play.

Agreed - especially considering they’ve effectively had no pre season.

From Arsenal’s perspective they’re probably chuffed as they played awfully in attack and got a win against a motivated United side who were well up for it away
