Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I have no idea why it’s stalled, I just found my pants according to Azul.

But as a principle you don’t get to max out on both. The whole point of the sell on is for the buying club to mitigate risk by forgoing a portion of a future large fee. Demanding both sides of it is unusual and as the buying club you would not set that precedent.
Maybe they think hes worth more than any upfront fee anyone will pay so they want to also get the upside

Regardless I think they're deluded, the upfront fee should be slightly lower for where he is currently at

Hes not a goal scorer he provides assists thats his forte he creates chances , was one of the top players for assists last season in the championship
Must be a reason why he’s available for a cheap price abs yet no prem teams have bit
Only another championship club, it’s like that number 10 at Coventry Rudoni or something like that. Everyone saying he could be a great 10
For us,
I watched him in tbe playoffs and wasn’t impressed at all. He’s still at cov and again only a championship club has enquired about him

It normally does as they are the basics of how anyone trades really, but given only a couple of weeks go to until deadline day, it may well change depending on how desparate we are to fill positions on the right hand side vs Southamptons desparation to fill other positions following a big sale.

Just been on the fans forum there and quite a few posters say he is not worth what Southamptons are asking. One or two also mentioned another guy who may replace him who they say is a better prospect but I can’t recall his name.
Then you find other options. If Soton know we need a RW, then everyone does.

Yeah
I understand the principle
But if adhering to a principle means you miss out on a player you value highly , that’s poor .
And if that player fulfils his potential, I don’t think many will praise our judgement for losing out for the sake of a principle , that would have cost us no actual money to ignore .

Yep that’s what should happen, we shall see whether it materialises that way.

We’ve been here before with this club (albeit different custodians and exec) where we have needed a striker for instance, been assured we will get one and have left with the window without one. This club seems to struggle when a first offer is refused.
