He doesn't look to me like what we need right now. I like his frame but I just dont think dropping 45m on a young kid with very limited experience is the right way for us to go atm

1st game of the season tomorrow and we basically dont have a proper right hand side. It would be laughable if it was any other club but its not funny at all as its our club and we are short once again when the season comes around.

I’m still up for gambling on him. Funny that before we started lashing bids in, every Evertonian would say that the absolute priority was to buy one, or ideally two, factually fast modern sprinters to play RW and give us the threat of raw pace we haven’t had for years.
Can see us move for Tyrique George if the impasse continues until our first home match next week

I named him as the RW i wanted us to sign months ago. Lots of posters slated me so I deserve an ounce of credit for at least getting it right :p

*even though weve apparently bid for another 84 right wingers around europe

He came on after 83 minutes or something. Nowhere near enough time on the pitch to make any kind of conclusions on anything

All we know is that the Everton recruitment team need to stop wasting time and make a decision one way or another. Stop the pointless protracted negotiations which are being played out publicly and don't help the club.

Either pay the money or sign someone more affordable. Stop wasting time and start backing Moyes
Has it not been said for a bit of time that a call has been made. People are falling for certain people's take on twitter and believing it. The deal has been said to be off for a week odd. Only way it would actually happen if Saints stop asking for so much etc,and then if they deal went through it would be undisclosed so no one would have any actual clue what the fee is

I didn’t want a sprinter on the wing , or anywhere else on the football pitch .
I want a player who is intelligent has vision and superlative technical ability , can control the ball , and can vary his deliveries.
Leave the sprinters for the athletics track , and year 3 schools teams .

Not longing for the Walcott and Lennon days?

Get what you're saying, but the modern game needs pace and this team is desperately lacking it. We're not capable of stretching play.

I think I’m inclined to agree now it’s over and done with now, I think it’s a worry though that we appear to be quiet in the week that has followed. Got to be said I think if it’s not a busy two weeks before the window closes we could struggle this year.

I’m hopeful tho that the new structure within the club will deliver before the window closes. If they don’t I can revert to type!

Every half decent team you can think of has fast players in it. We definitely need some fast players.

I know I’m parodying slightly the constant demand for ‘pace’ over all other attributes .
But do people realise under Moyes we will habitually have one striker up front ?
By the time Billy Whizz gets to the by line to ‘whip’ it across he will have generally 1 chance to find Beto before he is closed down just before our supporting players arrive .
Added to the fact that Beto is much more dangerous running onto through balls .
Barry is an unknown quantity at present .
We aren’t in the 1950’s , teams need more guile and intelligence to prosper .
I’m not saying a burst of speed isn’t desirable in a wide player , it is an important option to have.
But if it’s your only option you will struggle to win games more often than not .

We won’t Struggle

Unless injury’s
