Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Again , I can’t believe we are quibbling about 25% of something that currently doesn’t exist and is only payable on any future profit we might make on a possible future sale .
We would still make a profit .
I don’t think this deal has foundered on such an abstract calculation.
Amateur if so .
It’s not quibbling. The kid is 19 years old and has done nothing. You either get the up front fee or you get to share in the upside of a future deal, not both. We’d look like marks in any future deal just to have a guy for a few games in one August where he doesn’t look match fit.

It is exactly this. The total ask of £45m +£5m +25% profit share is just too rich for a 19 year old kid with limited PL experience, limited end product and who does not offer much without the ball (think Le Tissier in that respect) is just much too much.

Sporting did not buy out the Barca Trincao share without a reason. They sniff a sale to a league that does not allow co-ownership like the PL. Not necessarily us as others like Spurs, Palace, Wolves are looking for wide players.

"If by some miracle were clear of FFP then three dream signings...

Bellingham
Valverde
Kounde

You never know with Lampard."

A new low for you. Trying to pass other posters tongue in cheek comments as fact.

Perhaps stick to the other thread where you said you couldnt find your penis anymore. Clue, a mirror may help.
