Again , I can’t believe we are quibbling about 25% of something that currently doesn’t exist and is only payable on any future profit we might make on a possible future sale .
We would still make a profit .
I don’t think this deal has foundered on such an abstract calculation.

On my opinion assuming Richy is sold, but DCL stays, Keane or Mina leaves (one not both) and Holgate goes

And we retain all major first team players (not including Coleman, Gomes)

Then realistically looking through the squad, we would need the following.

Cover at lb/rb, we have Nkoukou returning this summer from Leige, so rb effectively.

Centre back we need at least one better than we have (mina aside) Sarr from Chelsea as an option. We have Godfrey, Braithwaite who hopefully develop.

We need a 'pivot' midfielder - Gilmour the obvious candidate as he's done it for Lampard before...

It's hard to know the actual details, depends which club are feeding the journo you believe. However, I think if we bumped the Xfer fee up, the sell on is reduced or removed

Hes not a goal scorer he provides assists thats his forte he creates chances , was one of the top players for assists last season in the championship

IMO just go for a natural right-footed player for right wing. We've got two left-footers starting up there, get some balance in there. Forget £45m for Dibling ffs, go and get two attacking players from abroad for the same money.
