I’m another who doesn’t understand how Forest are being run. Are they just thinking sod it we will take the points deductions if we don’t get Europe or whatever. I don’t really understand it at all.

The more dithering over Dibling we do the more we have missed out on others now too. Don’t get me wrong there’s no way I would have wanted us to pay near 40m for Hutchinson but 25m for Doak seems good business. Why weren’t we all over that?

Reports are Douglas Luiz now close to Forest aswell so there’s another good quality midfielder we have let slip through the net.

We are desperate for a good quality right back
Two good quality right wingers
And a midfielder.

If we manage to get these in we have had a great window but my concern is now we don’t and that’s it. If it is, we are in trouble in my opinion.

Moyes and the recruitment team are just going to have to readjust their expectations of quality they want. We can still improve the team in any position. I find it a bit weird that we often say there is a whole world of footballers out there, and then say we are running out of targets. Maybe they need to adjust their PL experience criteria (if there is one).

Progression in terms of quality of player brought in will need to be a little more incremental ….I do wonder if Moyes is trying to fast tack improved quality of players in given he only has two years left.

You’re possibly right but tbf we have clearly bid for foreign league based wingers, they just don’t want to join us. Maybe step 2 is ‘PL experience’.
Step 3 is the reserve winger who we allegedly want. Maybe they will be the punt with more guaranteed ‘day 1’ in front of them.
Who only knows!

Once wissa moves to Newcastle cos Brentford has just signed his replacement I think isak can move and we can see a larger movement as a result of that.

You cant have a balanced point on here though.

Youre not allowed to have the view that Moyes is a good stable coach but has been frighteningly bad at recruitment for a decade.

I imagine self confessed reds, former reds or whatever their fantasy is thesedays will be 100% behind Moyes recruitment. Doesnt matter if its awful, to them its amazing.

An exercise in pointlessness really.

How i wish Everton had someone who knew how to:

A: Pinpoint targets early
B: Successfully negotiate deals

We have neither.

Still don’t know why Fellows hasn’t been snapped up for under £10m as an option wide right.

Not good enough for where we want to go. We already have a wide player who isn't a particularly good player but provides good delivery, in McNeil.

We do need a secondary option though. And if that option isn't going to be a kid, but instead a limited player, he should be fast. If you have some good players - which we now do - pace in of itself can change games.
