Carabao Cup 2025/26

Think it's 15% for cup games so about 7,500 if they can sell that many ? Sensible pricing £15 /£10 conc. so it could be a big crowd.
Midweek, so that might be a big ask for them. Then again they seem made up to get a PL team and even more so that’s it’s a new ground.

This is the year we win it...
I know people will hate this comment but I think we should go all out to win it from the off. No playing youth team players or fringe squad players, no treating it as the ginger stepchild of competitions. Full strength trans right from day dot. An extra two or three games isn't going to materially effect our league placing. I would make this our number one target for the season. I think people underestimate the power of actually winning things and this is the easiest thing to win. It's still very difficult to win, especially recently, but the easiest of the three competitions we're in. The fact we've never won it, even in our pomp, adds extra spice.

The semi final being over 2 legs can be a disadvantage for a team that could be seen as an outsider playing one of the chosen few when getting to that stage. They can raise their game and pull off a big result, only for the sly 6 team to have another go at things in the second leg to turn things around.
No excuse to play anything other than a full strength side from the start right from the very start, as we have a few players new to the squad that will need to get games in to settle into our way of playing. Get each game won with your strongest XI and then make your changes if you can give a squad player some minutes, and not the other way around where you get into a losing situation and have to throw on players to try and salvage a win.
