Player Valuation: £70m
I get some of the prices are crazy. But I will be very annoyed if we half-arse another window. We have to get a right sided player in. Fullback, winger, whoever.
I think we could and should be further ahead with our recruitment than we are. We knew more than 6 months ago just how many new players we would need. It’s also an example West Ham are terrible and Potter at Brighton is looking more and more like a fluke every day
Doing business early is great if you can afford to overpay and your targets are easy to get (desperate to play in the premier league with no other suitors)
Now Grealish might not be ready to start against Leeds Monday but surely it was worth waiting to get a player of his quality over the line rather than loaning Harrison because it could be done early (for example)
I will still think the same. I think it took like 6 or 7 weeks for a promoted team to win last season
They are giving themselves a far better chance by having players in early.
That Sunderland performance is a clear example of why teams should be doing their transfer business as early as possible.
Fair play to them for their urgency to carry out a plan. They are ready to play matches and it will give them a far better chance than other recently promoted teams.

Win 3-0 at leeds? Did you not see what happened last season? They creamed the whole championship, we are in for a massive hiding. And if we win 3-0 Monday not having done ours early, where do we fit into things?
No promoted team won last season until October. So said match of the day!I think they started ok from memory, and then fell away. If they don't start well, they're in big trouble.
Anyway to be fair people said the same things the last 2 seasons, but I said the same then, I'll state the 3 that came up go back down.
West Ham, Bournemouth, and Wolves will be close from initial observations but I'll take them to survive over the 3 promoted teams.
West ham were looking calamitous I think Sunderland with their championship squad would of beat them let's see how they handle non west ham teamsI will still think the same. I think it took like 6 or 7 weeks for a promoted team to win last season

As far as I am aware since Fofana, for RW, we have been linked with:Seems an odd perception to hold, the venn diagram of, RW, PL, young enough to be adaptable, within budget*, etc...
Seems Moyes wants a bit of quality and is prepared to fight for it. If it means the transfer goes closer to the window finish then so be it.
How much PL experience did Pienaar, Fellaini, Arteta have?As far as I am aware since Fofana, for RW, we have been linked with:
Omari Hutchinson - Played in PL
Tyler Dibling - Played in PL
Ben Doak - Plays for a PL team
Is it that odd a perception to say that our RW hunt has been prioritising PL based/experienced players?
I hope Moyes is targeting quality, he may need to realise there's a limited amount of it at RW if he has narrowed the search to a domestic one.
Look at all the non promotion or sky six teams , ,crystal palace have struggled to bring in players, same with Brentford, Bournemouth, Newcastle , Fulham for example it's a difficult market unless you greatly overpay for targets. Do you want us to get our targets at a sensible price or just pay whatever to attain them while be willing to not criticize everton for squandering money later?I think we could and should be further ahead with our recruitment than we are. We knew more than 6 months ago just how many new players we would need.
It's not like our only options were wait till August or sign Jack Harrison. The lack of progress with right back and right wing is pretty frustrating because everyone knew they were priority positions. The team is in desperate need of more pace to help us be more of a threat going forward.
I'm very happy with the Grealish signing but it's a little bit different. He was a player who was no longer wanted by City. Most clubs want to keep their best players and prices keep going up as it gets late in the window. Especially now everyone knows we want to spend a lot of money (but maybe not 50m) on Dibling.
Correct. None. That was also about 17 yrs ago where the middle to lower teams in the PL weren't recruiting like they are now. I'm more focused on the fact that we will be starting the season with most likely Dwight McNeil on the wing due to our inability to treat our number 1 priority as if it is a number 1 priority. How much PL experience did Pienaar, Fellaini, Arteta have?
Let a player play.
Is this real? It's the championship, Leicester dominated the previous season in the championship and were decimated in the premiership. Major gap in quality typicallyWin 3-0 at leeds? Did you not see what happened last season? They creamed the whole championship, we are in for a massive hiding.
Funnily enough, they were horrific in pre-season, struggling to blend all their new players and not looking like a team at all. That Sunderland performance is a clear example of why teams should be doing their transfer business as early as possible.

Sounds like 3-0 flattered them today with West Ham not taking their chances.
